This gallery is a selection of some of the artwork featured within the 6083 rulebooks. The PDF versions are mostly in black and white, but when the physical manuals are published, these artworks will appear in full color, along with many more illustrations. Within this selection of artworks you’ll find a mix of acrylic paintings as well as mixed media and digital work. I try to create as much physical artwork as I can, but working digitally helps to speed up the process considerably. ALL of this art is also the sole property of the artist, and may not be used commercially without the express permission of Jason Oberman or HLA Studios.

"THE GUARDIAN" Acrylic on 120 lb hot press paper This is a portrait of a prominent in game character, Sergeant Erin Black

"BALANCE EMBODIED" Acrylic on canvas This is a study of the Rift Witch Archetype, and showcases both the iconic balance tattoos and focus gauntlet. To be clear, Rift witches DON"T go around topless: this is only a showcase of their unique and symbolic body tattoos.

"THE BLACK FLEET" Mixed Media This combination acrylic and digital work focuses upon the remnants of the infamous Black Fleet, now in orbit around the gas giant Cadeo IV.

"THE AFTERMATH" Acrylic on 120 lb. hot press paper This image features a contingent of Baradan troops searching the battlefield after the Tenok Illunti Massacre.

"MISTRESS OF THE BLADE" Mixed Media This digitally enhanced sketch shows a Voidstalker with her blade, a rift artifact that is unique to her.

"VETERAN" Mixed media This piece features a veteran Arisian MC operative.

"LOCKED ON" Mixed Media This watercolor and digital mixed media piece features an Andromedan ship gunner.

"THE CAPTAIN" Acrylic on metal This was a study for the much larger, "Saturn Rising" artwork. It features Captain Antui, albeit without her armor plate holder.

"A DAY IN THE LIFE" Digital Based upon a physical sketch, this digital work shows MC operatives on the job.

"RESPITE" Watercolor on 120 lb. hot press paper This image shows a Direwolf mech and it's pilot taking a quiet moment to rest and recoup.

"ANGEL OF DEATH" Digital This piece features a character from the Stillness, a high priestess of the X'arian Temple.

"ICONIC" Digital This digital piece is a portrait of a character known as Lady Korrigan, a Keltar Warrior, and missing in action for some time now.

"TRIO" Digital This digital piece was adapted from an earlier commission. This features prominent figures in the game world, Lady Kaveni, Speaker for the Rift, along with her two mechanical companions, Tella and Cygnas.

"GRIMM" Digital This digital work is an homage to a longtime player character and now fixture in the 6083 lore, Nick Grimace.

'THE EGGS" Mixed media This 90's era sketch of a playgroup's team, "the Elite Galactic Guards," is an example of older work that has been retouched digitally. While not on par with my newer work, they are still pieces I enjoy featuring in the books. They are a reminder of my older playgroups, and an important part of the game's history and development.

"On Patrol" An image that depicts an operative on patrol on an alien planet.

"FURY" A rift Witch casts her lightning attack

"The Tracker" A Hallion Tracer checks for tracks in an abandoned facility.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
